Free Movers

Free-Mover Program

The Free-Mover Program allows students of any university and nationality to pursue studies on the undergraduate degree program at the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management Sant Ignasi - Ramon Llull University for a period of one semester (maximum of 30 ECTS credits per semester) or for one academic year (maximum 60 ECTS credits).

The Free Mover student must have completed one full year of university studies at their home university and foreign students must comply with the current Spanish legislation with regard to visas, insurance and any other legal requirements.

The student who qualifies for the Free Mover Program does not need to request a file transfer to their university, as HTSI does not issue any degrees at the end of the study period, but shall provide an Academic Certificate detailing the subjects taken and grades awarded.

If the student wishes to obtain validation or recognition of credits obtained at HTSI for their academic transcripts, there must be an agreement with the student´s home university. If the student is enrolled at a university of HTSI´s network of university partners, please check the incoming students information and contact the International Office of your homeUniversity for guidance on how to proceed.

Important information for non-European students

Students who do not come from the European Union should arrange a visa for students before joining HTSI. It is not recommended that the students travel on a tourist visa. Once in Spain, it is NOT possible to process a student visa, and the student must return to their countries of origin for their visa. Normally visa formalities begin with the acceptance letter received electronically, pending receipt of the original documentation for verification.

University studies available

A student of the Free Mover Program may enroll on courses offered in the Bachelor Degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management, and must submit a proposal of courses following the catalogue of subjects which can be found in the study plan. Students may enroll on any course subject, taking into consideration that class attendance is mandatory and timetables must therefore be compatible.
