HTSI’s Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management among the top 5 in Spain, according to El Mundo

The Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management offered by the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management Sant Ignasi (URL) is the best bachelor’s program in tourism in Catalonia and the 5th-best in Spain, according to El Mundo newspaper’s annual ranking.

El Mundo named HTSI’s Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management the best bachelor’s degree in tourism in Catalonia, emphasizing “the combination of courses on management and others focusing on tourism, hospitality and customer service”. This is according to the “Mejores Universidades 2019” (Best Universities of 2019) ranking, which has traditionally listed Spain’s best universities.

Some of the indicators used by El Mundo to rank universities are professors’ views on the best centres for their speciality, the importance of practical teaching in studies plans, the range of optional courses and internships offered, methodology and study abroad programs.

Prestigious rankings place HTSI among the best universities

Last march, Ramon Llull University’s School of Tourism and Hospitality Management Sant Ignasi (HTSI) of was named the 2nd-best university institution in Catalonia and 3rd-best in Spain in Hospitality and Leisure Management by QS World University Ranking by Subjects 2019. The indicators analysed for this ranking included HTSI’s reputation among employers (judged with a survey of over 42,000 employers who evaluate graduates’ level of preparedness).

In addition, U-Ranking 2019, published in late April, named the Bachelor’s Degree of Tourism and Hospitality Management the 5th-best bachelor’s degree in tourism in Spain. This ranking is promoted by the BBVA Foundation and the Valencian Institute for Economic Research (IVIE).

Ramon Llull University, to which HTSI belongs, was named the 7th-most productive university in Spain, a step up from its position the previous year.
