More than 35 international students from 14 different nationalities will study at the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management Sant Ignasi (HTSI), part of Ramon Llull University, during the 2017-2018 academic year. They come from countries like Ukraine, Belarus, Ecuador, Panama or Brazil, to name a few, and will complete all 4 years of the Bachelor Degree in Tourism and Hotel Management offered at our school. In addition, a total of 19 international students from Italy, the Netherlands, the United States, the United Kingdom, China, Norway, Hungary, France and Germany will participate in exchange programs. This number grows each year.
For all of them, HTSI has organized a series of orientation activities to get to know the facilities, the educational team and the services our School offers students. The “Welcome Days” introduction week will begin on Tuesday, September 5 with an information session, and will last until Friday, September 8. Programmed activities include a tour to get to know the city of Barcelona and its most emblematic spaces.
HTSI, AN EXAMPLE IN THE INTERNATIONAL DIMENSION
The international dimension is essential in the professional world, and especially in the tourism and hotel sector. Therefore, the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management Sant Ignasi is once again taking its place as an important university space for welcoming international students, thanks to the advantages offered to those studying in our bachelor program in tourism. These include our exchange programs, the opportunity to experience the program entirely in English, and the professional and academic experiences offered through our professional internships and Study Tours.
Offering a multicultural experience to students is one of the goals of Ramon Llull University, which comes in 6th in the 2017 CYD Ranking of the best-performing Spanish universities, and 1st in the international dimension, a distinction it shares with the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Carlos III University of Madrid and Pompeu Fabra University.
