Access

Who can access the Executive Master program in Hotel Business management?
 

1. Students with a university degree

- All those who are in possession of an official Spanish University Degree, or another issued by an institution of higher education belonging to another state that is part of the European Higher Education Area that provides access to Master Degrees.

- Graduates in educational systems outside the European Higher Education Area, who do not need to validate their studies. It will first be verified that the foreign university accredits a level equivalent to the corresponding official Spanish qualifications and that, in the home country, the qualification allows access to postgraduate programs. This does not imply, in any case, the equivalence of the qualification or its recognition for purposes other than to access the Master Degree program.

According to the proposal for agreements within the framework of the general conference on university policy and the council of universities of July 6, 2010, students with a university degree will obtain an Executive Master Program in Hotel Business Management from Ramon Llull University.


2. Students without a university degree

Students who do not have a university degree who fulfill the following requirements can be enrolled in the program, and after the Admissions Committee values and accepts their application through their curriculum vitae:

  • Candidates at least 23 years of age
  • Access to the university either via the PAUor to have completed a higher education training cycle
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience demonstrable in positions of responsibility in the tourism and hotel industry. The admissions committee reserves the right to request references of said work experience and to have an interview with the candidate, if it considers it necessary.

According to the proposal for agreements within the framework of the general conference on university policy and the council of universities of July 6, 2010, these students will obtain a certificate of university extension granted by the School of tourism and hospitality Management Sant Ignasi.

Conditional admission pending of the Final Degree project/ pending subject.

The student who has a pending approval of a subject or the Final Degree project to obtain the official  University degree, could have acces to the program, subject to an admission conditioned to the certification of the Degree  during the course. In this case, upon passing the postgraduate studies, you will obtain the corresponding Master's degree issued by the Ramon Llull University. If you do not obtain the degree in this period, you will obtain a University Extension Diploma from the Ramon Llull University issued by the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management Sant Ignasi.

In order to carry out the conditional enrolment of the Executive Master, you must present a certificate of enrollment for the pending subject or the Final Degree Project.

Pre-enrolment

What is the process nedeed to carry out the pre-enrolment for the Executive Master program in Hotel Business management? 

 

The candidate must complete and send the application form, enclosing the required documentation, the application fee bank receipt (50€) and wait for the Admissions Committee´s response:

 

- Documentation required for students with university degrees:

  • Photocopy of ID or valid passport
  • Photocopy of the Degree or Degrees completed
  • Photocopy of the official academic certification (list of subjects taken with their grade and number of credits)
  • Certificate from the University of Origin accrediting that the university studies qualify the candidate for a Master Degree in his / her country of origin (in the case of candidates from a non-Spanish university system).

- Required documentation for students without a university degree:

  • Photocopy of the ID or valid passport
  • Photocopy of the Degree completed
  • Curriculum vitae with demonstrable work experience and photocopy of a company certificate specifying work experience, dates and duties carried out.

Enrolment

What process is there to formalize my enrolment on the Executive Master Program in Hotel Business management?

Once the candidate receives acceptance from the Admissions Committee, enrolment must be formalized by presenting the following original documentation to the Academic Secretary ‘office at the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management Sant Ignasi:



1. Spanish university graduates

  • Photocopy of ID or passport at the time of registration
  • Original and photocopy of the Degree or Degrees completed
  • Official academic certification (list of courses taken with your qualifications and number of credits)
  • Bank account information

 

2. Graduates in educational systems outside the Spanish university system

  • A photograph
  • Photocopy of passport at the time of registration
  • Original and photocopy of the Degree or Degrees of university studies completed
  • Official academic certification (list of courses taken with your qualifications and number of credits)
  • Sworn translation of the Degree and academic record, in case the original is not in Spanish or English.
  • Official university certificate, with seal and signature

 

3. Students without a university degree:

  • Photocopy of ID or passport at the time of registration
  • Photocopy of studies completed.
  • Curriculum vitae with demonstrable and certified work experience and certificate from the company attesting to such work experience.

At the time of enrolment, the Academic Secretary at the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management Sant Ignasi will require the student to provide all the original documents in order to proceed.

 

The enrolment process is during all year around.

* The implementation of the program is subjected to a minimum number of students enrolled

Fees and payment methods

Standard payment:

Total fee of the Master Degree: 8,925

  • Tuition fee: 1,785€ (20% of the total amount to be paid during the first 15 days after acceptance)
  • Remaining amoung:  7,140€ (80% of the total fee to be paid before   27/10/2017) 


Single payment: 

Total fee : 7,925€ (discount of 1,000 € on the standard price)

  • Tuition: 1,785 € (for tuition to be paid during the first 15 days after acceptance)

  • Remaining amount: 6,140€ ( to be paid before July 1st) 

 

Monthly instalments: 

Total fee:  9,103.50€  (2% increase over the standard price)

  • Tuition: 1,785€ (for tuition to be paid during the first 15 days after acceptance)
  • The remainder in 7 monthly payments from October to April, each payment of  1,045.50€

The processing of University Ramon Llull degrees is subject to academic fees not included in program fee. It is necessary to pay this amount when applying for the Master Program upon graduation at the Academic Secretary´s Office at the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management Sant Ignasi. Ramon Llull University´s Board of Trustees approves these fees at the beginning of each academic year.

Formalizing enrolment

What does formalizing enrolment imply?

The formalization of enrolment, together with the payment of the corresponding amount, represents the final step for students. If the student leaves the program, in no case will the amount of the tuition fee be refunded.
