URL included in Times Higher Education’s Global Employability Ranking Once Again


ranking-theRamon Llull University, of which the School of Tourism and Hospitality Mangement Sant Ignasi is a member, was included in the Global Employability Ranking for the fourth year in a row. This ranking evaluates universities’ capacity to prepare their graduates for the job market, and includes the opinions of human resources managers from businesses and institutions around the world. This year’s edition included universities from 41 countries.

This prestigious ranking –prepared by French firm HR Consultancy Emerging and published by Times Higher Education— ranks URL 194th. In all, 3 Catalan universities and 6 Spanish universities made it on the list (IE University Segovia, University of Navarre, Autonomous University of Barcelona, Complutense University of Madrid and Pompeu Fabra University).

Once again, Ramon Llull University is a point of reference in employability and internationalization. In last year’s 2019 Graduate Employability ranking (promoted by British consulting firm Quacquarelli Symonds (QS)), URL came in 251st out of 300 universities with high-ranking scores in areas like levels and quality of occupation for university students.

As for the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management Sant Ignasi (HTSI), the 2019 QS World University Ranking by Subjects named the school 2nd-best university institution in Catalonia and 3rd-best in Spain for Hospitality and Leisure Management. Furthermore, HTSI’s Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management was declared Catalonia’s best university bachelor’s program in tourism and the 5th-best in Spain, according to El Mundo newspaper’s yearly ranking.

Furthermore, HTSI’s Master’s Degree in Business Tourism and Event Management was also chosen as one of the 5 best specialized master’s degrees in tourism in Spain by the El Mundo ranking of master’s programs. This degree stands out because of its close relationship with the sector, as well as the networking opportunities provided for students throughout the program.
